NEW AUSTRALIAN DOCUMENTARY ON THE HOLOCAUST

Rewriting History looks at how the Holocaust happened, how it is remembered and how it affects the lives of Jews today.
Rewriting History is a film about the Holocaust in Lithuania, the current attempt rewrite an inconvenient history, and the inspiring David Vs Goliath campaign of two individuals to fight for the historical truth.
Rewriting History is about a clash of historical experiences, the Nazi Holocaust and Stalinist occupation, and how the way this past is remembered shapes the present.
With Europe on the edge of an economic precipice, the far right is again resonating at the polls. Against this backdrop of rising Ultra - Nationalism, Rewriting History is about taking action in the face of insurmountable odds, as two unlikely heroes decide to stand in the way of the Lithuanian Government's campaign to remove an inconvenient WWII history from the annals of the European Union. It is a David Vs Goliath tale that bears testament to the power of conviction and the importance of fighting for the truth.
This is a documentary with great relevance to the general subject areas and specific topics within those subject areas of English, Media and Film Studies, SOSE/HSIE, History, Politics and International Relations, Philosophy and Ethics.
