Hamas must choose between Iran and Saudi Arabia

From an editorial by Ahmed Al-Jarallah Editor-in-Chief, the Arab Times (Kuwait), 8/2/07 ....

...Hamas should understand one important fact: it cannot establish cordial relations with the people of Palestine through Khalid Mishaal who recently claimed ties with Iran and Syria are essential. It is obvious Tehran and Damascus are worried about only their interests.

The fight between the two Palestinian factions will go on forever unless it is contained by Saudi Arabia. If Hamas decides to serve its own interests in association with Syria and Iran...then we can kiss the Palestinian cause goodbye. All peace treaties signed in the past and international efforts to solve the problem will go waste. The ball is in the court of Hamas. It can either act as a true Palestinian movement or be an agent of Iran and Syria. We wonder what it is going to be.
