Protest rhetoric belies danger facing Israel
Regarding the Nov. 16 news article “ ‘Freedom Riders’ arrested on the bus to Jerusalem”:
How ironic and twisted that the six Palestinians who rode Israeli buses from the West Bank to Jerusalem and called themselves “Freedom Riders” fashioned their publicity stunt after the nonviolent U.S. civil rights activists of the 1960s. Were it not for the terror campaign by militant Palestinians that killed countless Israelis and Arabs for nearly 20 years, the permits these six were asked to present would not be necessary.
Who can forget murderous suicide bombings of buses in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv?
It is security, not racism, that governs Israeli policy...
